The Arizona Diamondbacks played host to the San Francisco Giants this week. A game in which Arizona could clinch a post-season berth for the first time since 2011. A battle between Matt Moore (Giants) and Robbie Ray (D-backs). The Giants looked to squander Arizona's post-season aspirations.
This week's game got off to a fast start with the Arizona Diamondbacks putting up 2 runs in the first inning followed by a 6 spot in the second! Perhaps a spark from a mid 1st inning notice that the Diamondbacks had made the playoffs due to a divisional rival loss. The majority of the offence in this game came in the second inning from J.D Martinez, who crushed a grand slam to propel the D-backs over the Giants. Robbie Ross pitched well enough to earn the win. Ultimately, Arizona ended this one with a whopping 11 runs to San Francisco's 4. The Diamondbacks will now have to wait and see who will clinch the second wild card spot and will play host to them on October 4th.
Me after JD's Grand Slam
A team that had relatively low expectations coming into the 2017 season. Arizona has put together quite the campaign and with the addition of slugger J.D Martinez look to be unstoppable come crunch time. The Diamondbacks bandwagon is growing at a steady pace people. Hope on while there's still room, or you might just get run over.

How could you not want to see these bearded beast in the playoffs?????
